Always bursting with creativity and corkiness, Dani works as an artist, iIllustrator and graphic designer in Edmonton, Alberta. When she isn't in her bedroom studio, she works as a face painter and provides a variety of paint nights and other workshops.
Here's the story...
In grade school, you could often find Dani in the art room, chatting with friends, working on projects or sketching. After graduation, she was offered her a job at a non-profit childcare centre and discovered a love for children's creative experiences and story telling, but still wanted to pursue a roll in a creative field. She spent the next 3 years at Grant MacEwan's Design and Illustration Diploma Program.
After graduating in 2012, Dani worked as a designer in print production, promotional advertising, marketing and publication. She continued illustrating in her spare time and started face painting in 2017. In 2020, during the pandemic, she happily was commissioned custom pet portraits. She started Lilywood Creative in 2022. She is happy to see where this next chapter of he life takes her.
Now A'Days...
Making friends wherever she goes, Dani is always up for coffee, checking out a local brewery, or meeting up in Edmonton's beautiful river valley. She enjoys working with local businesses, providing Murals, creative workshops and her design expertise. Check out her newest work at Omen Brewing!
She is currently working on a children's book and hopes to specialize in children's mental health through the art of visual story telling.
